In the Metro City, there exists a battle between the evil villian named Megamind, and  the superhero, Metro Man. But after Megamind defeats his long time nemisis, he discovers that there is no point being evil if there is noone to stop him. He trys to create a new superhero to defeat him, but when this new hero becomes corrupt and threatens to destroy Metro City, it is up to Megamind to find his true calling, and defeat the evil which he has created.

Megamind is a cute family movie with a superhero theme. The story is cute and entertaining, but somewhat unoriginal . Overall a good movie.

It's Kind of A Funny Story

A suicidal teenage boy with Depression is admitted into an adult psychiatric ward at a local hospital. He forms friendships with the other patients in the ward, and helps rehabilitate himself by helping them. With the help of his new friends, he learns the values about life and love.

It's Kind of a Funny Story is an emotionally inspiring movie about a teen's recovery from Depression. The story, however, is too much of a Hollywood styled plotline, and seems very unrealistic. Overall a good movie.

A tribe of mighty Vikings are at war with the dragons which threaten their village. However, Hiccup, a scrawny Viking boy, discovers that the dragons are not like what he has grown to know. It is up to him to end the conflict between the Vikings and the dragons.

How to Train Your Dragon is an exciting family, adventure movie about a boy and his conflict with his people. The story is somewhat unoriginal, yet extremely well executed. Overall a good movie.

Black Swan

A paranoid schizophrenic ballet dancer is awarded the lead role in a new ballet dance called "Swan Lake." In this ballet, she must portray the white swan, and it's dark twin, the black swan. She is perfect for the role of the white swan due to her innocent and sweet personality, but in order to play the black swan, she must discover her dark sensual side that's buried within her. But as she discovers her dark side, she starts losing her mind.

Black Swan is an interesting, melodramatic drama with psychopathic themes. The story is creepy, yet compelling. Overall a good movie.

Kung Fu Panda

After a evil kung fu master escapes from prison, he vows to exact his revenge on the ancient Chinese town in the Valley of Peace. Po, an obese panda, is selected to defend the town from this impending threat despite having no prior training in martial arts.

Kung Fu Panda is a fun, wacky, family comedy, which is inspired from ancient Chinese culture. The plot is predictable, but entertaining. Overall a good movie.

A paraplegic marine named Jake travels to a distant moon called Pandora where he undergoes a strange mission which mentally links his mind to an alien body resembling the indigenous humanoid population of Pandora called the Na'vi. His mission is to learn about the Na'vi, a primitive nature-loving race. However, Jake develops split allegiances between his own people, who want to eradicate the local population to mine the valuable resources on Pandora, and the Na'vi, whom he has grown attached to.

Avatar has a strange, but clever premise which takes place in the distant future where an alien humanoid race can literally link their minds with nature to communicate and control it. The plot is predictable, yet engaging and the action is entertaining. Overall a good movie.

Eagle Eye

Two American citizens are forced to undergo a dangerous secret covert operation by a mysterious rogue national security system, called Eagle Eye, capable of tracking, and controlling every electronic device connected to a central network. They must uncover its secret plot and stop it from executing it's plan.

Eagle Eye is a mystery fiction, action-based thriller with a wacky premise. The plot is bizarre yet interesting which focuses on endless action scenes and suspense. Overall a good movie.

Inception

This movie is about a thief capable of entering a person's dream and extracting information. He has one last chance at redemption by leading a group of skilled extractors into a man's dream to plant an idea into his mind. Unbeknown to his team, they must also battle a troubled man's past.

Inception is a movie that makes you think. It uses many clever plot devices and metaphors. The plot is engaging and the action is entertaining. Overall a good movie.

White Chicks
Genre: Comedy

Two black cops must go undercover to unfoil a kidnapping plot. In order to uncover the culprits, they must dress up and act like stereotypical white girls. While pretending to be girls, they learn to understand woman, and learn lessons against womanizing.

White Chicks is an immaturish typed comedy with an interestingly wacky storyline. Overall a good movie.

Despicable Me

A evil criminal mastermind has plans to steal the moon, and adopts 3 orphan girls as part of his plot. Unfortuanatly he finds himself growing attached to the girls and he must choose what is most important to him: Being a father or being a criminal.

Despicable Me is a cute, fun, family comedy with a heart warmingly cute story, and with adorably cute characters. Did I mention it's cute? Overall a good movie.

Iron Man

This movie is about a carefree playboy billionaire who owns a large weapons manufacturing company. He believes he is protecting the world buy selling powerfull weapons to the US army. After being kidnapped in Afghanistan, he learns that the enemy also has his weapons, and that his weapons are not helping to keep the peace as he once thought. Therefore, he builds an advanced suit to help protect the world from his corrupted weapons company.

Iron Man is an action-packed thriller with an extremely strange story, and weak plot.

500 Days of Summer

You know you're watching a chick flick when there's a smart-ass kid who knows more about love than the main character. This movie is a cliché-ish boy meets girl type chick-flick. The twist is that the girl is hard to figure out because she is shy, cautious towards getting close with people, and doesn't believe in love.

500 Days of Summer is a stereotypical chick-flick type movie. The story is somewhat predictable, but otherwise enjoyable. Overall a good movie.

A Walk To Remember

This movie is about a troubled delinquent teen. He meets a plain, shy, religious, and virtuous girl whom he would have never thought he would like. He falls in love with her after she changes his life by showing him a side of himself he hadn't discovered before.

A Walk to Remember is a romantic drama. The story is emotional, yet satisfying. Overall a good movie.

Star Trek

Set in an alternate timeline in the Star Trek universe, this movie is about James Kirk, a thrill-seeking delinquent, and his Vulcan enemy, Spock, who was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. After Spock losses his homeworld and his mother, Kirk must help Spock control his emotions in order to save Earth from a troubled Romulan seeking revenge. 

Star Trek is an action-packed science fiction thriller with lots of action and special effects. The story is engaging and interesting although somewhat simple compared to the standard Star Trek movie/show. Overall a good movie.

Set in a post-apocalyptic future earth, this movie is about a small loney robot named wall-e who's job is to collect and compact garbage. After years with no contact from any form of intellegent life, a female robot named EVE lands on earth. Wall-E falls in love and inadvertently goes on an adventure into space in order to follow her.

Wall-E is a cute family movie with family-styled comedy and romance. Overall a good movie.

Batman must find a way to save Gotham City from The Joker, a psychopath with a twisted sense of humour. In order to defeat The Joker, he must learn to understand him, and learn what it means to be a hero. 

The Dark Knight is a dark, complex, action-based movie. It has an interesting plot with plenty of twists. The characters personalities are also interesting, although cliché-ish. Overall a good movie.
